Cumbria Project

What is it?

The Cumbria Project, through a range of outdoor courses and activities in Cumbria aims to foster understanding and mutual respect between young people and authority figures such as government officials and civil servants.

Who is it for?

Young people from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds.

Why?

Research has shown that many young people hold resentment towards authority figures and most notably the Police and government officials. By putting these two groups together in physically challenging environments, a platform is created to open dialogue, address grievances and increase self-esteem and awareness among young people.
