ACF's Main Objectives

To promote integration and cohesion within communities by confronting and preventing violent extremism in all its forms.

How we do this:

ACF engage at a community level with young people who have been identified as ‘at risk’ of being drawn into violent extremism in all its forms. We work to divert such individuals into positive lifestyles, both within their own communities and society as a whole.

To create opportunities for such individuals to re-engage with civil society in a constructive and rewarding way, in terms of employment, education and values.

Concerning ‘Elders’:

To promote greater understanding amongst the ‘elders’ in ‘at risk’ communities of the needs, aspirations and problems affecting their young people.

Concerning Women:

To acknowledge that women have a key role to play in the active life of all communities; to empower, by training and development, young women from ‘at risk’ communities to play an integral part in the diversion of their peers, both male and female, from violent extremism.

Collaboration with other Charitable and Governmental Institutions:

To inform decision-makers and opinion-formers at a local and national level of ACF’s charitable objectives, strategic aims and of engagement.

To offer experience and skills and to work with other agencies, public bodies and charities which have compatible aims to ACF, in order to deliver our charitable objectives.
